End of line

Tron reference in the title check, completed Hellboy model, um check? Sort of complete anyway. I’ve decided to leave my Hellboy model untextured and move on to newer projects. To be honest, I’ve always prefered it in an untextured state. Probably because I’ve not be able to nail down a look for it.

As I said yesterday, I’ve removed the bead alphas and replaced them with geometry.

I’m going to model a proper chain for the cross and vial, then draw a line under this one.

Sketchbook

I’ve added a few images to the Sketchbook page. Some are old, some are new. One thing’s for sure, there aren’t enough of them… I need to get more sketching done, on paper and in Photoshop.

Back on the Wagon

Yup, it’s an update to my long neglected Hellboy model. :)

All the modeling and UV maps have been finished off, leaving only the texturing and rigging to go. The model’s had an extensive clean up, with a large area of the coat having been remodeled.

Workin’ 9 to 5…

After what seems like an eternity, i’m almost done with modeling Hellboy. It’s my own fault really, taking a four month break on a model has its downsides. You can seen some progress updates over at CgTalk. :)

New Shorts

I’ve been staring at this site for almost two months now. For some reason I seem to be under the impression, that if I stare hard enough and for long enough, something might happen. Maybe the site will magically generate posts on it’s own. :)

That does kinda happen though. Recently i’ve been plagued by nasty little spam bots peddling their wares. Spam in my inbox has gone up, and so has the number of spam comments here at ojko. The upshot? Well I finally installed the Akismet plugin, which happily catches spam for me. And a fine job it’s doing.

So where does that leave the modeling? Well with my catwalk career going down the pan faster than a bout of diarrhea, i’ve finally started working on Hellboy again. The mesh is in a complete state, but i’ve chosen to push the poly count a bit higher. Somewhere around 10,000 tri’s should do nicely. He’ll still be textured in a semi cel shaded manner and the catwork thing was a joke for those not paying attention. :)

The post title? It’s currently very hot where I am, so yesterday I bought new shorts. Yay me, etc…
