A few quick sketches to show various aspects of Brain Cases personality. I’ve also started a thread over at gameartisans.org :)
I was fully intending to work up the concept in the last post a little more. Unfortunately or perhaps fortunately I managed to draw something a little bit different. I’m now leaning to modelling this guy, mainly as he’s a bit different from what you’ll normally see in these competitions and he’s got more personality about him. I think he’ll be a lot more fun to make. :)

I’ve decided to enter the Dominance War competition this year and so far this is what I’ve got. Not that much really, it still needs a lot of work and at the very least a face. :)
It’s been quite a while since I last posted any work here. I could make a few excuses, but they wouldn’t really cover the slackness involved. :)
Slackness aside, I spent the first half of this year working on an updated version of Pipemania. Which is due out very shortly. In fact it might be out already, the release date escapes me.
Normally I create 3D assets at work, however for Pipemania I was allowed to get my crayons out and actually draw something. I was provided with rough sketches of each character (by our concept artist) and left to work them up / colour them in. It was a lot of fun doing the images and it certainly helped improve my 2D skills. :)
I’ve also have art for a couple of other characters, which i’ll post as soon as it’s been mounted. If you’re wondering why they’re all cut off at the knees, it’s because they where mounted in a frame that obscured the legs in game. Legs weren’t needed, so the legs weren’t drawn!
