What Does Martin Look Like Today?

The model of Martin is progressing quite nicely, despite taking a backseat to Cat (see previous post) for the past couple of days. The texture is pretty rough at the moment, just take a look at the face. :)

Virtual Classmates Vol. 1.2

This is the latest model i’m working on and for the most part it’s reasonably complete ‘ish. The textures are about 80% complete and are currently missing the alpha layers, hence the sharp hair.

The mesh is composed of 2683 tri’s and uses a 1024×1024 texture. While I think about it, the model took about 6hrs to create and at least as long again to texture. :)

Virtual Classmates Vol. 1.1

With the first model (see the previous post) near some sort of complete state, I decided to continue work on another of my classmates. This time Ryan gets the treatment, or something to that effect.

The body is pretty much complete, bar a little bit of clean up here and there. The head on the other hand is quite a bit different. It has the basic shape it needs, but it really doesn’t look that much like it should at the moment.

The mesh is currently 2050 tri’s, which i’m quite pleased about as i’m trying to keep them as low as possible. I also think the hands might be little too large…

Virtual Classmates Vol. 1

When I left Uni I swiped all the photo’s of my classmates off the network drive. I didn’t get everyone though, some clever people removed theirs. Probably a good idea…

Anyway, first to get the treatment is Deb’s. She left the course and never got round to modeling herself, so here’s my attempt. :)

I’ve yet to UV the arms & hair, though the rest of the model is complete. This has also given me the chance to play around with alpha textures. Before I forget, the poly count currently sits at 2202 tri’s.

Next on the chopping block, will be Monsieur Sauve…

W.I.P. Mesh “5 Iron”

Here’s a couple of shots, of the model i’m currently working on. The character goes by the name of “5 Iron” and is intended for use with UT2004. Ideally the character would be suited for a post-apocalyptic / wild west themed mod. Not too off beat eh?

The model is fully uv-mapped and is partially textured at the moment. You’ll also notice that I came over all “Guilty Gear” while modeling. After all it’s a fantasy game character, so no need to worry about how he’s going to lift those huge gauntlets, let alone that giant spanner. :)
