I’ve been toying with the idea of creating a character for UT2004 for some time now. Having tried for a while I couldn’t quite get to grips with what I wanted from a character. However I started doodling today ( I say doodle yet it took a couple of hours) and came up with the sketch below.
Now I just need to produce a colour version and sort out an orthograhpic sheet to model from. :)
nice sketch up in 3d show some renders of it. And once u finish the design for the ut 2004 u could do a high detailed one. u dunno u might get the model in to one of their newer games on the way out.

I applyed for a job yesterday for a companie called “The Code Monkeys” They have been around since ‘88 and have done loads of old atari and amiga games, along with alot of Disney© games. They did reply and want to see some work so im just preparing portfolio DVD for them, can’t wait, bet I dont get it tho :(

On the plus side, i’ve got a job as a 3D Artist at a company near Oxford called Razorworks. I’m also in the process of moving down there to live. I’m moving into my new place tomorrow and start work next Tuesday. All in all i’m quite happy about everything. :)
Nice one, I guess your moving with ya bro then, or just by yourself?, Im glad someone is getting work from uni, sending my application form off tommorow, so just have to wait and see.
Nah, moving down there on my own. I’ve got a small one bedroom barn conversion all to myself! Kinda weird being on my own, but i’m sure i’ll get used to it. At the moment I don’t have an internet connection, so no World of Warcraft for me. Going cold turkey…
So how’s things with you?
Well I sent off my portfolio to code monkeys and and my CV and Application form, but I havent heard from them yet. Will give it a few more days before declaring it as a failed attempt, but the deadline for applications is the 30th of this month, so im guessing that they will let applicants know whats going on cloaser to that date. Im also applying for about four other jobs, doing graphics design and CD rom based stuff, I seariously need to get working now, the back are getting itchy feet and are questioning my overdraft ;)
So how work anyway, guess your working on racing games? spoke to richie and wan, but pete seems to be avoiding everyone at the moment including richie.
Keep us posted about life down in Oxford, hope you enjoy working down there. :)
I’m not doing that much at the moment really, just learning my way around a few things. Mainly i’m spending most my time, getting up to speed with the correct way of doing things. :)
